FILM (2017)

In 2017 I had the pleasure of creating some music for two amazing Turner Prize nominated films by Naeem Mohaiemen. Both works encompassed faded architectural spaces, like an abandoned international airport in Greece and a futuristic stadium from a bygone era in Algeria, to name a few. The music was an abstraction of natural ambiences, of sounds that you might hear in these large deserted spaces. Naeem and I also talked about John Carpenter’s music, from classics like The Thing, They Live and Assault on Precinct 13. We made use of some classic synthesizers like the Moog Model D, ARP Odyssey and a young modular synthesizer that I was in the process of building. This synth heavy release is called FILM
